Kenneth Pollack is the former National Security Council Director for Persian Gulf Affairs (1999-2001) and Near East and South Asian Affairs (1995-96), Dr. Pollack is author of The Threatening Storm: The Case for Invading Iraq (Random House, October 2002) and Arabs at War: Military Effectiveness, 1948-1991 (University of Nebraska Press, 2002). He received his Ph.D. from MIT in 1996. He was Iran-Iraq Military Analyst for the CIA (1988-1995) and Director for National Security Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations (2001-02).
